Bronllys Pain and Fatigue Management Centre

The Centre runs three week residential management programmes for people with chronic pain and/or fatigue. The aim of the programme is to help people learn skills for managing pain. It is not intended to cure the actual conditions.

We offer training on the biopsychosocial management of chronic conditions and are carrying out a series of research projects looking into various aspects of the management and impact of chronic pain. Details of both of these are available on this site.

Conditions which are often helped by the approach we use at the centre are chronic intractable benign pain problems such as upper and low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome (reflex sympathetic dystrophy), musculoskeletal pain, arthritis and joint pain, pelvic pain, arachnoiditis and chronic fatigue syndrome.

The pain management team is interdisciplinary. It consists of two counselling psychologists, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a clinical nurse specialist, consultant anaesthetist and office manager.
